COMPILE 6TH GENERAL MEETING

What: COMPILE 6th General Meeting

Where: Online

When: 12th May 2021

Six months have passed since our last General Meeting in November and the summer holidays are approaching fast so it was time for the project consortium to meet again. Live meetings seem to be slipping away until uncertain date but we keep our fingers crossed that the next gathering in fall could finally be face to face. All 13 project partners from 7 different EU countries, represented by 24 team members, attended the meeting. This time also our Project Officer, Ms. Dana Dutianu (CINEA), joined part of the meeting.

At the end of April, the project concluded its second reporting period which lasted for 18 months. This means that the consortium has now two months to prepare all the reports and highlights the main outcomes. To remember how the process goes and what do we need to emphasise, we dedicated part of the meeting to period reporting guidelines.

The partners discussed the progress of the project, the work performed under each work package and the work plan for the next period. Within the Work Package 4 (Energy community development) we recently submitted a comprehensive deliverable (D4.1 Energy Community Toolkit or in short COOLkit) which is, for now, available in a form of a report and brochure, while its integration into the COMPILE website is in progress. Regarding more technical activities, after Luče, another two pilot sites, Crevillent and Križevci, became operational in the last months which means the focus now is on the integration of the COMPILE tools. Besides, we are very glad to see that Coopernico with its pilot site Lisbon has gained good visibility and is seen as a reputable partner when it comes to establishing an energy community (EnC) in Portugal. Namely, they were approached by two potential pilot sites who wish to form EnC.

The consortium plans to meet again in July when the results from the last period will be presented to the Project Officer in the Review Meeting.
