MASTER’S THESIS ON THE COMPILE PROJECT: ANALYSIS OF THE BENEFITS FROM SELF-CONSUMPTION IN ENERGY COMMUNITIES

What: Master’s thesis which studies the COMPILE pilot site Crevillent

Where: Online

When: 9th September 2021

Back in the last fall we already wrote about Ms. Ana Isabel who did an internship in collaboration with COMPILE partner and coordinator Laboratory of Energy Policy (LEST) from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana.

Now her study has come to an end and resulted in the master’s thesis titled Analysis of the benefits from self-consumption in the energy communities: the study case of Crevillent which she successfully defended on September 9.

The results of her research show the benefits of the application of self-consumption and the formation of energy communities, using photovoltaic energy as a renewable resource and indicate its advantages in terms of savings on household electricity bills or reduction of CO2 emissions. She identified future models where stakeholders can benefit from a more economical and sustainable solution.

Ana Isabel, congratulations and we wish you a lot of success in your future career path!
